East Sahara is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. It’s closed on Sunday. The address is 2621 E. Sahara Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89104.

The DMV emissions lab at East Sahara
East Sahara is where the DMV runs its Las Vegas emissions lab. It isn’t where you get a routine smog check. Those happen at licensed emissions stations around the valley, and most Clark County vehicles need one every year before registration.
The lab comes in if your vehicle keeps failing. If it still fails after the required repairs, bring the vehicle, your failed test certificates and your repair receipts to the lab to request a waiver. The lab’s number is (702) 486-4981.
Some vehicles skip the test entirely. New vehicles are exempt for their first three registrations, hybrids for their first five model years, and electric vehicles, motorcycles and 1967-or-older vehicles are exempt.
